What information is needed to place an order?

To order a stork rental, we need the baby's first and middle names (not last name), length, weight, date of birth, and the address where you'd like the stork sign to be delivered. We accept all major credit cards. We only reserve the signs once the payment is complete. We require full payment to be received before sign delivery takes place.

What is the cost of the birth announcement stork rental?

Our stork signs for birth announcements are available for rent at $90 each and include a personalized bundle that serves as a keepsake after the 7- or 10-day rental period.  Our all-inclusive service includes the delivery, set up, and pickup of the storks. The personalized bundles and any other signs are also left behind as keepsakes.

Do you charge for delivery?

Delivery is free within 25 miles of of our base address of Pine St, Hertford. Beyond 25 miles, the delivery fee is $10 for up to 35 miles, and $20 for up to 50 miles. Beyond 50 miles from our base address, contact us.

What is your service area?

AnswerWe proudly serve, deliver, install, and pick up storks for new baby birth announcements and events in the North Carolina counties: Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank, and Perquimans.

Do you deliver to apartments, townhomes, or businesses?

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to apartments. However, we can deliver to townhomes and businesses. Please make sure to check with your HOA to ensure they allow signs, as we do not offer refunds if we're unable to deliver the stork due to missing gate codes or access restrictions. It's essential to provide us with accurate information to ensure a smooth delivery experience.

Do I need to have a lawn for a stork installation?

Yes, we install our birth announcement stork signs on traditional residential lawns with unobstructed soil and grass. We cannot install signs in rocks, pea gravel, concrete, mulch, flower beds, raised beds, garden pots, thick landscaping, or hard-packed soil used as a driveway. We are unable to install signs in areas where rocks or small boulders cover the "yard" or are prominent in the "yard." Our installation requires driving the stake into the ground 10 inches to properly and safely secure the stork sign, which is not possible in the situations described above. Additionally, we cannot place a stork sign in front of public utility boxes, water mains, or any other structure owned by the city, county, or state. We must not impede access to these areas, or we could face fines and/or have our signs destroyed for impeding the area.

Where will you place the stork sign?

Our goal is to find the perfect spot in your yard to maximize visibility and provide a great backdrop for photos with family. We usually try to stake the sign in the front yard, visible from the road. If you have a specific location in mind, please inform us before we arrive, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Please do not move the stork yard sign yourself; if it needs to be moved during your rental, give us a call, and we'll take care of it for you.

Do you offer sibling signs or cat/dog and customization options for stork signs?

Yes, we offer various options to make the celebration even more special for everyone involved. Personalized "Big Brother" and "Big Sister" star-shaped signs are available for $25 that we will place near your stork, and the sibling signs are customizable and yours to keep. In addition, we can customize celebration signs with messages like "Welcome Home" or "Proud Grandparents" to place near the stork. And remember, our stork signs come with a personalized bundle sign for you to keep with the baby's details, ensuring a unique and memorable experience for your family.

How soon will my stork sign be delivered?

We aim to deliver your stork sign within 24-48 hours after receiving your order. To ensure a timely delivery, it's a good idea to place your order online here as soon as the baby is born so we have enough time to customize and deliver the sign to the new family. Please note that a rush fee may apply for deliveries needed within 24 hours.

When should I reserve a stork sign?

We accept reservations for scheduled births or events like baby showers, Sip & See, or Gender Reveal parties. For normal delivery, please order online as soon as the baby is born, and we will deliver the stork sign within 24-48 hours. Our goal is to set up the stork in the yard before the baby and parents arrive home from the hospital. If you have placed an order and did not receive an email notification, kindly text us at 252-337-4393 or call us if you have sent a text and haven't heard back. Our operating hours are daylight hours, seven days a week.

Do you offer signs for multiple births, grandparents, and special events?

Yes, we cater to various needs and occasions:

  • For multiple births like twins, triplets, or quadruplets, we install a separate sign for each baby, with a personalized bundle for each one. Please call or text us at 252-337-4393 to check availability.
  • Grandparents can rent stork signs to announce their new grandchild. Each sign comes with a personalized bundle that remains as a keepsake after the rental period.
  • For events like baby showers, Sip & See, or Gender Reveal parties, you can reserve a stork sign in advance to add a special touch to the celebration.
How long can I rent a stork sign for?

Our stork sign rental periods depend on the occasion:

  • For birth announcements, you can rent the stork sign for 7 days.
  • For events, the rental period is 1 day.

We will install the sign in your yard and pick it up after the rental period. Any personalized bundles, stars, or pet signs will be left behind as keepsakes. Please note that generic bundles are not left behind. Contact us for more information on renting a stork yard sign for your newborn or special event.

Under what circumstances do you cancel and refund an order?

We offer refunds only in cases where extreme weather conditions prevent us from setting up the signs. We do not cancel or refund orders if:

  • We face difficulties accessing a gated community due to a lack of or issue with the provided gate code.
  • A security guard denies us entry (please arrange access beforehand, as we cannot wait at the gate for more than 10 minutes).
  • The homeowner or recipient prevents sign setup or requests early removal.
  • There are threatening animals on the property.
  • The location lacks a traditional lawn suitable for sign installation (e.g., rocks, pea gravel, concrete, mulch, raised beds, garden pots, thick landscaping, or hard-packed soil used as a driveway).

Please note that our sign installation requires driving the stake 10 inches into the ground, which is not possible in these situations.

What happens after the rental period ends?

We will pick up the sign and leave behind any personalized bundles, stars, or pet signs. Generic bundles are not left behind.

What if I need to move the stork sign during the rental period?

Please do not move the sign yourself. If it needs to be moved, give us a call, and we'll assist you.
